How it all started?
EWART WOODS is a small interior design shop established in 2014 by woodworking enthusiast Maksims Jekimovs. His passion for sustainability has been evident since his early days in woodworking. Initially crafting USB flash drives and their accompanying boxes, Maksims expanded his repertoire to include wooden sofa arm trays and toilet paper storage solutions. With a multitude of ideas swirling in his mind, Maksims sought collaboration with metal product designer Pēteris Ločmelis to bring his visions to fruition. A jeweler by trade, Pēteris is a dedicated enthusiast eager to contribute his expertise to the craft. Together, their ideas grew and expanded to encompass a diverse array of meticulously crafted wooden and metal home decor products, each reflecting their shared commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative design

At Ewart Woods, we use high-quality materials to craft our products. Our items, including the wooden toilet paper holder, curved floating shelf, and wooden couch arm covers, are primarily made from Baltic birch plywood, known for its durability and smooth finish. We also use a variety of wood veneers, including cherry, walnut, ash, oak, and wenge, as well as some exotic woods, to give our products a unique and premium look. Additionally, we incorporate ash hardwood in many of our designs for added strength and aesthetic appeal.
Our metal shelves are constructed from brass, steel, and copper. For finishing we use powder coating for a sleek and durable finish. This combination of fine materials ensures that Ewart Woods products are not only aesthetically pleasing but also built to last.
