Cat Shelf Instruction

Installing a wall-mounted cat perch shelf gives your cat a fun and cozy place to climb, lounge, and observe. Follow these step-by-step instructions for secure installation.

Step 1: Position the Cat Shelf

  1. Hold the cat shelf against the wall at the desired height where your cat can comfortably jump.

  2. Use a spirit level to make sure the shelf is perfectly straight.

Step 2: Mark the Drill Points

  1. Using a pencil, mark the wall through the pre-drilled holes in the metal brackets.

  2. Remove the shelf and check that marks are even and level.

Step 3: Drill Holes & Insert Anchors

  • For concrete or brick walls ā†’ drill holes at the marked points and insert heavy-duty wall plugs.

  • For drywall/gypsum board walls ā†’ use special drywall anchors to support the shelf securely.

  • For wooden walls ā†’ screws can go directly into the wall without anchors.

Step 4: Secure the Brackets

  1. Hold the metal brackets against the drilled points.

  2. Insert screws into the wall plugs or directly into the wall (depending on wall type).

  3. Tighten screws by hand with a screwdriverā€”avoid overtightening.

Step 5: Mount the Cat Shelf

  1. Place the cat shelf onto the secured brackets.

  2. Double-check with your level to ensure the shelf is straight.

  3. Gently test the stability before letting your cat use it.

Final Checks

  • Make sure all screws are secure.

  • Test the shelf with light pressure before your cat climbs on.

  • Once stable, your cat perch shelf is ready for use.
