Floating WAVE Shelf Instruction

Installing a floating wall shelf is an easy DIY project that adds style and functionality to any room. Follow these step-by-step instructions to securely mount your wall-mounted shelf.

Step 1: Prepare the T-Fixings

  1. Insert the small screws into the metal T-fixings on the backside of the shelf.

  2. Place the T-fixings into the pre-drilled shelf holes.

    • The shaped sides of the small screws should remain visible on the outside of the shelf.

Step 2: Mark the Drill Points on the Wall

  1. Hold the shelf against the wall in your desired location.

  2. Make sure the shelf is perfectly horizontal using a spirit level.

  3. The ends of the small screws will press lightly against the wall, leaving marking points where youā€™ll need to drill.

Step 3: Drill Holes & Insert Wall Plugs

  1. Drill holes at the marked points on the wall.

  2. Insert the correct wall plugs/anchors for your wall type (brick, drywall, or concrete).

    • This ensures maximum stability and prevents shelf sagging.

Step 4: Secure the T-Fixings to the Wall

  1. Align the T-fixings with the drilled holes.

  2. Use screws to secure the T-fixings firmly into the wall plugs.

Step 5: Mount the Floating Shelf

  1. Carefully slide the shelf onto the secured metal T-fixings.

  2. Push it until it sits flush against the wall.

  3. Double-check with your spirit level to ensure your floating wall shelf is perfectly straight.

Maintenance Tips

  • Avoid overloading the shelf beyond its weight capacity.

  • Periodically check screws for tightness.

  • Clean with a soft, dry cloth to preserve the finish.
