SYROS — Minimalist Wood Furniture & Floating Shelves
The SYROS collection came from a sailing trip around Greece — time at sea that made everything feel simpler and more balanced. That calm carried into a small family of handmade pieces: the Timóni snack table, the Paní coffee table, the Élika sculptural wave shelf, the Istós floating wall shelf, and two toilet paper holders, Ángyra and Kupí. There is no loud theme — just softer curves, lighter shapes, and pieces that sit in a room without taking it over.
How they are made — materials & quality
Every SYROS piece is handmade in Latvia (made in Europe) from plywood with real wood veneer (koka finieris), with brass and metal details on selected designs. The shapes are kept clean and the joinery solid, so the tables stand steady and the shelves carry everyday weight without flexing. Nothing is overcomplicated — just materials chosen to feel right and age well.
- Soft, sculptural shapes — curved edges and light forms rather than heavy blocks.
- Real wood veneer over stable plywood for a warm grain that lasts.
- Made responsibly from renewable Baltic wood; we plant a tree for every order.
Design, interiors & who it is for
SYROS is built for spaces kept simple. The pieces suit Scandinavian, Japandi and warm-minimalist rooms, where modern wood furniture and floating wall shelves should feel light, not heavy. Each object has a clear role: the Timóni snack table is small and easy to move; the Paní coffee table is more grounded but still clean; the Élika and Istós wave shelves work as storage and a wall detail at once; the Ángyra and Kupí toilet paper holders keep the bathroom minimal and considered.
It is for people furnishing a calm, uncluttered home who want pieces that feel designed rather than decorative for its own sake. The floating shelves use a hidden mounting system for a clean, bracket-free look. Browse related coffee tables, shelves and the floating collection for more shapes and finishes.
Frequently asked questions
What is included in the SYROS collection?
Six handmade pieces: the Timóni snack table, the Paní coffee table, the Élika sculptural wave shelf, the Istós floating wall shelf, and two toilet paper holders — Ángyra (wall-mounted) and Kupí (free-standing). Each can be used on its own or combined.
What are the SYROS pieces made of?
Plywood with real wood veneer (koka finieris), handmade in Latvia, with brass and metal details on selected designs. The veneer gives a warm, natural grain over a stable core that resists warping and ages well.
What inspired the collection?
A sailing trip around Greece. Time at sea shifted the design toward simpler, more balanced forms — softer curves and lighter shapes — which is where the Greek piece names and the calm, uncluttered feel come from.
How are the SYROS wall shelves mounted?
The Élika and Istós wave shelves use a hidden mounting system, so no brackets are visible and the shelf appears to float. All fixings and a template are included; fix into a stud or use the right anchor for your wall type for the strongest hold.
What is the difference between the Timóni and Paní tables?
The Timóni is a small, light snack or side table that is easy to move around a sofa or chair. The Paní is a lower, more grounded coffee table for the centre of a living room — still clean and simple, but a more permanent piece.
Are the toilet paper holders wall-mounted or free-standing?
Both options exist: Ángyra is wall-mounted for a minimal look, and Kupí is free-standing so it can move without drilling. Both keep the bathroom tidy and match the calm SYROS style.
Where do you ship from and do pieces arrive assembled?
We ship from Latvia, Europe, worldwide in protective packaging. Wall pieces arrive ready to hang with all mounting hardware and a template; tables arrive ready to use or with simple assembly. Most installs take only a few minutes.
